Monster Love Trio

Hello Friends,

Our DT, Deb, created more cuteness for Valentine's Day. I loved how she did the same card in three different color themes. It's a great go-to idea when you need cards and don't have time to create new ideas with each one. This idea is perfect if you want to make cards for guys and gals! Just change out the color depending on the recipient. This card idea is not just great for Valentine's Day, but can be for just an everyday card, you can use a birthday sentiment to convert it into a birthday card, or congratulations sentiment for a celebration. Very versatile and simple.

Here is Deb's description of how to create this monster love trio:

Hello friends! It’s Deb here today to share another Valentine’s Day project. Lisa P. shared an awesome tutorial using patterned paper and a single stamp set to create some fabulous cards. Today I am sharing a clean and simple set of cards that uses only one image and sentiment, but a different color scheme.

For my project, I used CR02 Monster Love Clear stamp set to create my set of mini cards. First I trimmed my front panel using one of my Pretty Pink Posh border dies. Then I stamped the images and sentiments. I layered a colored piece of cardstock underneath before adding it to the cardbase and then stamping the final sentiment.

The versatility with outlined images is being able to color them in with your choice of markers or pencils to make them masculine, feminine or neutral. I love that! One of the great things about using the same images but different colors is that you can do the same for other themes such a birthday or thank you cards. By repeating the image and sentiment, you can easily create multiple cards quickly. This is a great idea if you love to give cards as gifts.

If you haven’t begun working on your Valentine’s Day projects, we hope you have found some inspiration to get you started. Thanks for stopping by!
